For over 40 years, BSB-Baustahl-Biegebetrieb in Villingen-Schwenningen has stood for high-quality products in steel construction – from reinforcing steel to thread bars, structural steel and steel profiles, as well as construction accessories.

The beginning

Company founded by Herrmann Schmid in the centre of Hausach.

1934

Karl Schmid takes over his father’s business at the age of 24

1970

New building near the railway station

1972

Opening of the Building Fittings and Ironmongery department

1974

Reiner Schmid takes over the management of the company

1979

Rise to become an “first-tier dealer”

1986

Holdings acquired in Stahlveredelung Landsberg and BSB-Baustahl- Biegebetrieb, Villingen

2003

Michael Waidele takes over the management of the company

2005

Company celebrates its centennial jubilee

2007

From 2007: Company name changed to Eisen-Schmid GmbH Co. KG. With Managing Directors Reiner Schmid and Michael Waidele and authorised representative Bernd Mik

2010

End of 2010: Start of short products production in Eisenbahnstraße

2016

Move of 3-shift CNC production of sawn and chamfered components into the new production building at Hinterer Bahnhof 2 in Hausach.

2022

Marc Stockreisser joins Michael Waidele on the management board

2022/2023

Expansion of the new building to include office and production space. Improvement of the connection to the railroad through a second siding.
